Reports suggest that the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run anime is on its way.
Recent trademark filings on China’s Aliyun trademark application service hint at an upcoming anime adaptation. CBR notes that a similar listing appeared in Japan years ago, but this new entry suggests that the anime is indeed in development and slated for future release. It is not known what Chinese company, if any, will be involved with the production of the anime adaptation.
"Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run" has been registered for anime production in China

With the trademark registered in April 2024, the anime will likely be produced by David Production, the studio behind other JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series.
There’s no official word on the anime adaptation yet. In April, animator Tokuda Yumenosuke shared an image of a woman on horseback, which fans speculated might be a teaser for the anime adaptation of Steel Ball Run. After deleting the image, Yumenosuke reassured fans that there’s still “a long way” to go before any celebrations:
“Please don’t panic; nothing has been decided yet! Given my job, I often share things with the staff. I only tweeted something I thought might be useful, but it’s not meant for the general public. I apologise for any confusion. The 'JoJo stance' refers to the production staff who love JoJo. We still have a long way to go before we can celebrate with everyone.”
Steel Ball Run, the seventh story arc of Hirohiko Araki's acclaimed manga series, follows paraplegic former jockey Johnny Joestar as he competes in the Steel Ball Run horse race across America alongside Gyro Zeppeli, a former executioner, in pursuit of a massive prize across.
